SCUBA DIVING - UNDERWATER

TRUK LAGOON

Truk Lagoon, also known as Chuuk Lagoon, is an amazing place to dive.

Located in the Pacific Ocean, east of the Philippines, it was the location of a U.S. raid on the Japanese fleet during World War II. The result - over sixty wrecks in the enclosed waters of the lagoon, including military and merchant ships, aircraft and a submarine.

Today it is probably the world’s best wreck diving location, due to the number of wrecks in such a small area, and the benign water conditions, which include year round temperatures of 29ºC/84ºF and virtually zero current.

With over 360 photographs and 45 minutes of video, we take an in depth look at

the wrecks of Truk Lagoon.
